Guiding Principles
I have been providing professional legal services to Oregonians for over thirty years. Over the course of those years I have developed the principles that guide my actions as an attorney. Those principles can be summed up as follows:
Act With Integrity
Produce Quality Work
Provide Personal Service
Charge a Fair Price
Act With Integrity
Integrity is the watchword. It means not only to have high standards but always to conduct oneself in alignment with those standards. To me this means maintaining the highest ethical and moral standards, being completely honest and putting the client’s interest first.
Produce Quality Work
High Quality work means thorough preparation. This requires discipline and a dedication to excellence. It is the willingness to go the extra mile, take the additional step, to make sure the work is done right.
My thirty years of practicing law has given me a broad base of experience, a deep knowledge of how the legal system works, and a common sense understanding of how to interact with that system to provide the most benefit to my clients at the lowest cost and with the least hassle that I possibly can.
Provide Personal Service
My practice is a small one and that’s the way I like it. Being “small” means that I am able to work closely with my clients in a timely manner. They are able to access me readily and receive my full attention. My clients benefit from this relationship and I benefit by attracting and maintaining good clients.
Charge a Fair Price
It is my intention to treat my clients in such a way that, when their legal matter is concluded, they leave with a sense of gratitude because they feel that they have gotten their money’s worth. I am able to provide high quality legal services while charging a fair price because I am very organized, efficient, able to use technology effectively and maintain a low overhead.
